Kristina Salen, CFO, WWEAmerican media and entertainment company,World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) announced the appointment of Kristina Salen as its Chief Financial Officer (CFO). The development comes months after George Barrios and Michelle Wilson were pushed out of the company in January on account of conflicting strategic visions for the company. As Co-Presidents Barrios had been the CFO while Wilson was the Chief Revenue Officer.
Salen will assume the position from August 3, 2020, freeing interim CFO Frank A. Riddick III who had stepped into the role as interim role, while the company searched for a permanent CFO. The new finance head will report to Chairman-CEO Vince McMahon.
With over 25 years of experience, Salen has expertise in the fields of finance, auditing, accounting, IPO, marketing, business development, strategic planning, investor relations, data analytics, internal & external reporting, tax, internal controls and human resources, debt placement, IP transfer, telecom, qualitative and quantitative research and portfolio management.
Prior to this role, Salen in a year stint served as CFO for Moda Operandi, a fashion discovery platform. She has held leadership roles in UnitedMasters, Etsy, Great Bowery, Fidelity Investments, Oppenheimer Capital, Merrill Lynch, Lazard and SBC Warburg.
Currently she is serving as the Member of the Board of Directors and Audit Committee at SiriusXM and Member of the Board of Directors and Chair of Audit Committee at Cornerstone OnDemand. She is a graduate from Vassar College, New York and has completed MBA Finance from Columbia Business School, New York.
