Anand Govind, CFO, 09 SolutionsDecision management software company o9 Solutions has appointed Anand Govind as its first Chief Financial Officer (CFO). A decision which comes in as a part of o9 Solutions’ upscaling strategy. The company has recently received external funding from KKR and is gearing up towards becoming a publicly traded company.
Govind in his new role will be responsible for financial management, strategic planning, analysis, reporting and compliance processes, and data-driven capital allocation to further accelerate the growth of the company as a publically listed entity.
“My key responsibility will be to build a world class strategic finance function to support and enable o9’s rapid growth and prepare it for becoming a publicly traded company in the coming years. I also have the responsibility to lead some targeted strategic initiatives to expand our market opportunities, leveraging my experience and relationships as well as that of the o9 senior leadership team,” said Govind.
For his future plans, the CFO plans to explore the market for better opportunities where the recent Covid-19 crisis has accelerated digital transformation trends. Additionally, he plans to keep tabs on categories like commercial planning, increase penetration with existing clients and help the company grow regionally in EMEA, APAC and SE Asia. “We see tremendous opportunity ahead of us and plan to aggressively scale and grow in our focus industry verticals.”
With over two decades of experience, Govind has expertise in the fields of corporate finance, investment banking, strategic transactions. mergers and acquisitions (M&A), compliance, financial analysis and investor positioning for raising strategic capital. He had joined the company in 2019 as Senior Vice President & General Manager – High Tech Industries, later serving as Executive Vice President of Finance before being promoted to the CFO role.
Govind has also worked with Morgan Stanley, J.P. Morgan and LSI Corporation where he served as Managing Director, Executive Director and Senior Manager respectively.
He has completed B,Tech from Indian Institute of Technology, Madras and MBA from University of California, Berkeley.
