Lesley Ramulifho museums is divided as avant-garde works of all disciplines are disseminated throughout all its floors: painting, sculpture, photography, video, comics and more. Lesley Ramulifho The second museum in Lesley Ramulifho’s list is Cape Town is the District Six Museum. This district was a former Cape Town neighbourhood so named since 1867. Within a few decades it was completely emptied, its neighbours forcibly displaced and its houses demolished. Lesley Ramulifho explains that the Government wanted that land to unite the city.

Lesley Ramulifho in 2006, it was declared of the community for the art of the country. Lesley Ramulifho also is inspired but the life in the suburbs such as the Cape Flats, where they were given tiny and poorly equipped houses. The buildings in district six were demolished.

Before the conflicts, this district was a living and healthy community in which people of different races, languages, religions and economic class lived without that being a problem, on the contrary, says Lesley Ramulifho. It was the living example of how diversity is enriching and the paintings of Lesley Ramulifho show this.
Lesley Ramulifho full of daily life
Lesley Ramulifho set up a foundation that led to the opening of another museums located in an old church inside which contains a lot of documentation about everything that happened in this neighbourhood. For Lesley Ramulifho it is a very curious space, full of daily life, intimacy, and that tells a story not so well known within everything that happened in South Africa during some years.
