Baxter CFO tests corona positive, CFO News, ETCFO

James Saccaro, Executive Vice President & CFO, Baxter American fortune 500,Baxter International Inc announced that itsExecutive Vice President and CFO, James Saccaro has tested positive for the coronavirus (COVID-19). The development is in sharp contrast the good news that Baxter had earlier received where, José Almeida the company’s Chairman, President and CEO had tested negative for COVID-19.

“James Saccaro, the Executive Vice President and CFO at Baxter, continues to perform his responsibilities from home after testing positive for the virus”, the company said in a filing with Securities and Exchange Commission.

Saccaro, is currently performing his CFO duties from home along with other Baxter employees who have been given work from home in order to contain the virus spread.

Apart from Saccaro, an unnamed Board Member has also tested positive for COVID-19. The member has been admitted and is “recovering well in the hospital”, informed the company.

Baxter International Inc. is an American Fortune 500 health care company with headquarters in Deerfield, Illinois. The company primarily focuses on products to treat hemophilia, kidney disease, immune disorders and other chronic and acute medical conditions. Last year the company had successfully generated a revenue of $11.4 billion in sales.
