Nike Inc. has announced changes in its leadership.The athletic footwear and apparel giant has shuffled deck by appointing Andy Campion as the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Matthew Friend as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the company.
The leadership changes are a first under new Chief Executive John Donahoe, who replaced longtime Nike CEO Mark Parker in January this year.
“In their new roles, we will see them have an even greater impact on Nike’s success in the future. Matthew brings more than 10 years of Nike experience to the CFO role and will be a great addition to our executive leadership team,” said the CEO.
Campion, the current Executive Vice President and CFO will replace Eric Sprunk as COO, effectively from April 1, 2020. Sprunk will be departing from the company said the company filing.
Further, Friend who is currently the CFO of operating segments and Vice President of Investor Relations at Nike, will take over Campion’s role.
Nike has given no official date of Sprunk’s departure from the company.
